It's that time of the year! The time when everyone gets into the holiday spirit and gives back. That means lots of inspiring stories will be popping up all across the Chicago area! I plan to post as many as I can here over the next month. We'll kick it all off with a group of adorable kids in Chicago who collected shoes for people in need! About 300 kids from St. Matthias School and Queen of Angels School paraded to Lincoln Square yesterday with all the shoes they collected.
The shoe drive coincides with the official kickoff of the Lincoln Square Christkindl Market, which takes place December 3-5. You can follow the lead of the kids and donate shoes to the needy at the giant shoe in Giddings Plaza until December 17.
