A food pantry in Forest Park is helping bring Thanksgiving to all members of its community. Yesterday, volunteers from the Howard Mohr Community Center delivered meals to 150 needy families.
The Forest Park Review interviewed one single mother who is struggling financially and working two jobs to stay afloat. She described how much it meant to have a Thanksgiving meal delivered for her family:
"If you don't have enough money, it really, really, really helps. It really makes your house feel like its Thanksgiving. That's a good feeling for everyone. I have literally cried my eyes out. If there's anything that you need, they will make it happen."
Volunteers say it's inspiring to see the community come together to help all residents have a good Thanksgiving.
